Occasionally, I listen to music, and occasionally I like it an awful lot, and making a site specifically designed for rambling about it makes me feel like much less of a nerd than filling my personal journal with it would, so I decided to go ahead and try it out. This is a purely self-indulgent and loosey-goosey music blog, and I probably won’t post about anything or anyone that I’m not deeply, passionately crazy about, so the majority of it is going to be mushy and rather reminiscent of Paula Abdul on American Idol, but it’s alright because I don’t really expect anybody but my friends to read this. If you do read this and you’re not one of my friends, please leave a comment, especially if you found my nonsense at all insightful or entertaining or maybe even discovered something you liked.

More than anything this blog’s raison d’etre is to be a place for me to gush like a fangirl about stuff and, God willing, get word of some fantastic artists out to other people. (I’ve been known to put butts in concert seats from about 2400 miles away from the actual concert, so you know I’m particularly dedicated about these things.)
Just a warning: I like country music. A lot. I owe it to you to be frank and upfront about this.

You asked for comments so I would have to say that I enjoyed your rant about Man Descending. Justin has been one of my favorite songwriters for a few years.
When I come home form work I put my ipod on shuffle and start to unwind. When one of his songs comes on I wouldn’t say that I feel less murderous but I think “Ahhhhhh….now I am home and content”. The music is just so honest and simple, the lyrics divine, and that voice…(sigh).
I can’t wait for the new album and to read what you think of it.

Woah, I had completely forgotten about this blog and I had pretty much figured nobody would ever comment. So thanks a ton for yours! It was a really nice surprise. I’m with you on Justin, can’t wait for a new album either. Haven’t been keeping up with this stuff the way I’d like to (nursing school). Is there a release date on it yet?
