I have not deluded myself into thinking I’ve got regular readers, but for posterity’s sake, here’s a quick note to say that after several months of toying with the idea, I have decided to change this here thing from a music blog to a cooking/writing/movie/music/health rant/maybe humor? blog. Basically a ‘whatever the good gosh darn I want’ blog.

(I hesitate to do this because while my brain delights in whatever the good gosh darn I want blogs written by other people, it believes that my writing a whatever the good gosh darn I want blog can only be interpreted as an act of outrageous narcissism. You guys, I fancy myself a pretty good speller but it’s like next to impossible to spell narcissism.)

The reason is: I am a poor nursing student who thought it would be a good idea to try and coast through both years of her program on her first year’s $5500 loan, so I don’t have the money to buy music, or the time to keep writing out long, thoughtful posts about entire bands or albums. (side note: I did get some money from my mom for my older brother’s birthday. Because she’s pissed off at him, and he owes me $50. So I did buy the latest Justin Rutledge and Luke Doucet albums with that. They’re not here yet, though, because they’re coming from Canada and because I’m more excited for them than anything in the world right now.)

I do, however, still have time and money for a lot of things like watching movies and cooking and doing really stupid things that future nurses should probably have more sense than to do, and I feel like it would be remiss of me to ignore the possibility that my stupidity might entertain someone.

Currently fresh out of stupid stories to tell, though, because I’m doing a case study for school (or rather, so determinedly avoiding doing my case study that I was, at one point, pulling my arm hairs out with my fingernails. No lie.) So, till my next procrastinatory burst, internets… um, stay hydrated or something. It’s important. Kidneys and what have you.
